Mirror/Dash is Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore’s (coolest couple in rock) experimental side project. It’s been an on-going collaboration since the early days of Sonic Youth, in which they used their guitars against anything they found necessary to create unique musical textures, also accompanied by Gordon’s whispering voice.

They played a show last Saturday at the pop up gallery 30 Days in New York, and apart from the hypnotizing experience of the drone sounds and seeing them totally absorbed with their own instruments, there were also projections on stage to get your eyes lost in.

Sonic Youth have also just released a 784 book, Sensational Fix, which includes two 7-inch records with unpublished songs by each member, album covers, band portraits and documentary photos, many of which have never been published before.
